At Palestine Baptist Church, our beliefs are grounded in the eternal truth of God’s Word. We hold to the following core beliefs as the foundation of our faith and practice:
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, holy and perfect in every way.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is our guide for faith and life, revealing God’s character and His plan for salvation.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but received by trusting in Him as Lord and Savior.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, grow in faith, and share the Gospel with the world.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We observe the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of His sacrifice and a celebration of our unity in Him.
The Great Commission
We believe in the command to make disciples of all nations, sharing the Gospel and teaching others to follow Christ.
We affirm and are in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
